CLE - Continuing Legal Education

Continuing Legal Education is a requirement of the Law Society of New South Wales. Practising solicitors are required to obtain ten units of CLE annually in order to maintain registration as a legal practitioner. Continuing Professional Development is also a requirement of the New South Wales Bar Association. Barristers are required to accrue ten points each practising certificate year.

Seminars offered under the Association's events program are in most cases designed to meet the CLE program requirements of both the Law Society of New South Wales and the New South Wales Bar Association in relation to their individual members.

The CLA strives to provide a CLE program that is comprehensive, rigorous (both intellectually and practically) and directed to the needs of legal practitioners and those involved in finance and commerce.
